Dixie: Captain Eladio Rodriguez reported 2 Sailfish released and 12 Dorados (Mahi Mahi)
June 3rd 2009...
Funfisher I: Dive Master Ralph reported phenomenal water temperature of 86 degree F (or for you European followers...30 degree Celsius). Dive Master Ralph did dives on the Catalina Islands. One dive on one of the big Cats and the other on Elephant Rock. On the two dives a total of 20 white tip reef sharks were sighted along with 2 spotted eagle rays! Visibility was good with a range of 40 to 60 feet! There were no thermoclines reported which made the dives even smoother if you went down in a shorty like I always do!
Navgator: Captain Victor with Kohlbrand from Florida fishing in the Papagayo area 35 miles North of Flamingo. 14 Sail Fish , 27 Dorados, 1 Amberjack. Check out these Sailfish they shot for our famous catch and release program!




June 4th 2009...
Gamefisher II: Full day of fishing with Tom Ghegan and co. from Atlanta raised 5 sails , releasing 3 of them.
Funfisher I: half day of sport fishing caught 6 big Dorados (Mahi Mahi) and one huge Yellowfin Tuna! These clients brought the fish back and had Head Chef's Antonio & Farid of the Monkey Bar prepare it al gusto!
Brindisi: with Captain Biaggio landed one Sailfish, 2 Dorados (Mahi Mahi), and tens of non keepers!
June 5th 2009...
Plautus: Captain Luis Antonio Ruiz reported 2 Wahoo and 10 Dorados (Mahi Mahi)
Navgator: Captain Victor fishing with Sam y Petros Bagdassarian from the U.S.A in the Northern Zone of Papagayo boated: 8 Sailfish, 17 Dorados & 1 lost but full Marlin.
June 6th, 7th, & 8th 2009...
Gamefisher II: 3 Full days of fishing
DAY 1 -The Ocean City Light Tackle Club raised 8 sails , releasing 2 , they also fought a blue marlin for two hours on 20 lb. test line that finally broke off.
DAY 2 –The Ocean City Light Tackle Club raised 6 sails only releasing one .The other 5 sails swam away well fed!
DAY 3 –The same group took a play day inshore fishing and caught the following variety of fish: 3 Mackerel, 1 Amberjack (about 55 lbs.) 1 Jack, 1 Dorado, 10 Skip Jacks, 8 Blue runners And 1 Pacific Barracuda


May 29th/30th 2009...
Ale Watcher:
On board with Captain Bruce fishing with his wife and her gang of amigas! They managed in a couple of days to boat 1 nice Dorado (Mahi Mahi), and tens Yellowfin Tunas!
The exact report came in as "Debbies Dorado and April's Tunas!"
That left us hanging with how much fish was really caught....Dagmar asked me?
My guess Dagmar wants to be invited over for some fresh Sushi soon!
One last thing for your readers and fish watchers, I promised my best friend and brother from another mother.....Captain Robert Hudson on board Camelot that I would post a report about fishing on the other side of the Pacific Ocean! Well, I guess it was not so bad either this week for you on Kona...."Smile! You got a nice little fishy Robert!" 164 Lbs. Gutted!!! Dagmar & I will be there soon after our honeymoon!
